We received a call from the doctor's office on Gaylene's birthday September 19th that because of the partial walkout by health care workers, Spencer's day surgery could be done the next day, (rather than 6 months later which we still did not have a date for). We did not tell many people because it happened so quickly and we have had so many disappointments before. Spencer's recovery period was very short and was only in discomfort for 2 days. Mom and Dad are extremely happy and relieved.
